The Mercer County School Board has retained the Illinois Association of School Boards to lead the search for the district’s next superintendent. IASB’s Patricia Viniard spoke to WRMJ following Thursday’s special Unit 404 Board of Education meeting.
The district will pay IASB $11,400. The group was involved in the district’s last superintendent search in 2016 when Scott Petrie was hired. Petrie is retiring at the end of the school year.
