Rockridge (2-0, 1-0 TRAC West) opened Three Rivers Athletic Conference (TRAC) West play with a 6-2 win over Orion (1-4, 0-1 TRAC West) in softball Thursday.
Rocket senior Kendra Lewis tallied her 600th career strikeout in the victory. She was the winning pitcher in the game, which moves her career record to 65-0. Lewis also hit a home run in the game.
The Rockets have won 32 straight games, which is tied for the 19th longest winning streak in IHSA softball history. The current streak started after Rockridge’s IHSA record 73-game winning streak was snapped last April.
