Mary Hemm has been hired as the varsity volleyball coach at Sherrard High School. The hire was approved at the district’s board of education meeting Wednesday.
She’s been a coach with the Dubuque Insanity Volleyball Club for nine years. Hemm replaces Amy Mitton, who spent five seasons as the head coach at Sherrard. Mitton led the Tigers to a record 107-50-1 from 2019-23.
Sherrard went 28-8-1 in the 2023 season.
Hemm is a 2012 graduate of Riverdale High School.
