Erica was born on July 28, 1971, in Moline, the daughter of Mary Blade and Gerald Fisher. She received her college degree from Kankakee Community College and worked for many years as a teacher’s aide. Erica had the biggest heart for everyone and everything. Erica cherished the moments spent with her loved ones, as she knew too well that a tomorrow isn’t promised to anyone. Erica made the most of the time she had with them. Erica was a kind, caring, fun loving person. “No” wasn’t part of her vocabulary when others asked for her assistance; she would do anything to help others. Erica always had a smile on her face and enjoyed sharing that smile with everyone she met. Erica loved interacting with people and she never forgot a face. She loved helping her students when she was a teacher’s aide and greeting customers at her retail jobs with that big smile of hers. Erica loved her kitty Angel, well all kitties really, and they loved her back. Erica enjoyed collecting Beanie Babies and small animal sculptures as they brought her joy. Erica enjoyed going to concerts and watching a great movie or a favorite TV series. Erica lifted one’s spirits when she was around. Erica will be missed by the many that knew and loved her, and is now reunited with the loved ones that have gone before her. Erica is at peace. She is survived by her father, Gerald Fisher; siblings, Andy (Shelly) Fisher, Laura (Denny) Bishop, Mary (Greg) Murphy-Geerdes, Dan (Casey) Murphy, Mike Murphy, Tom (Jocelyne) Murphy, Bonnie Keating, and Rich (Rachel) Chase; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Tom Krahl. She was preceded in death by her mother; stepfather, Pat Murphy; and uncle, Tom Blade.
