Mercer County hosted Orion in a boys and girls dual meet Thursday at Hawthorn Ridge in Aledo. The boys stopped Orion 176-198. Mercer County’s Andrew Fiser was the medalist. Connor Reid and Vance Young shot 45 and Anthony Ruggles had a 46. On the girls side Mercer County edged Orion 278 to 279. Orion’s Haley Delille was the medalist with a 55. Kira Anderson lead the Golden Eagles with a 61. Callie Siering had a 67, Mia Hillyer a 74 and Emma Saltzman a 76.
In other boys golf action, Rockridge beat Rock Island at Highland Springs 175 to 184. The Rockets Carson Hall was the medalist with a 38. At Baker Park it was St. Bede 170, Ridgewood 172 and Kewanee 184.
