Davenport’s Figge Art Museum hosting a special program on famed Aledo artist Doris Lee this week. The presentation is Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and coincides with the exhibit Simple Pleasures: The Art of Doris Lee. Assistant Curator Vanessa Sage says she’s happy to see the Figge feature an artist with local roots.
The Doris Lee exhibit will be on display through May. She died in 1983.
