An America 250 Celebration will be held from 2 to 11 p.m., Sat., Aug. 22, at the Eliza Community Center. Food will be available from 2 to 7 p.m., and includes grilled pork chops, hot dogs, baked beans, chips, Tees Ice Cream, and lots of homemade desserts! Cost is by donation. Pop and water will be available throughout the day. From 2 to 4 p.m., enjoy field game, old and new; vintage truck and vehicle display; and jump rope making demonstration. A Patriotic Program with local singing and instrumental talent takes place from 4 to 7 p.m., along with a flag folding ceremony, historical presentations, and a pie eating contest. Tommy and the T-Bones will be performing from 7 to 11 p.m. Admittance to the dance is by donation. There will be an intermission at dusk for fireworks! Bring your lawn chair.
Raffles will be available throughout the day: baskets, gun, Lottery jar, and an outdoor bench handmade by Chris Bieri.
