We’re just a week away from the November election and there are only two contested races involving Mercer County government.
Incumbent sheriff Dusty Terrill is being challenged by Dave Staley. A rematch of the 2018 election when the roles reversed. The other contested race in Mercer County features two newcomers vying for county clerk–Brian Gerber on the Republican ticket and Harry Cleaveland is running as a Democrat.
All ten Mercer County board seats are uncontested.
Republicans Rebecca Hawn and Lynn Pease in District 1; Democrats Gary Gregg and Christopher DeMink in District 2; Republicans Linda Koepke and Timothy Arbet in District 3; Republicans Josh Frieden and Chris DeFrieze in District 4; and Republicans Steve Moreland and Gary Anderson in District 5.
Early voting is underway. Election day is Tuesday, Nov. 8.
