A celebration is planned to commemorate the 20th year of the Aledo Central Park Band Shell this week.
The Mercer County Community Band will be performing at 6 p.m. on Thursday. Following the concert, there will be free cupcakes and ice cream to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Band Shell, says organizer Rusty Ruggles.
This is Ruggles’ final year as the organizer for the Band Shell.
