The Mercer County Family YMCA is hosting a community interest meeting next week to gauge the interest of beginning a youth soccer program in Aledo.
The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 14, at 7 p.m. at the YMCA, says Aledo Parks and Recreation Superintendent Scott Earl.
Earl says the Mercer County School District has indicated it currently has no interest in starting a soccer program.
