Riverdale Hits 4 Home Runs, Sweeps Rockridge To Clinch Share Of TRAC West Softball Title

Riverdale clubbed four home runs in a 6-1 win at Rockridge on Thursday to complete a series sweep and clinch a share of the TRAC West softball title.

The Rams (19-2, 7-1 TRAC West) got on the board on a Katie Cox solo home run in the top of the second inning. Brooklyn Peterson hit a three-run homer in the third inning to push Riverdale’s lead to 4-0. Peterson and Hailey Keifer added solo home runs in the top of the fifth inning to extend the advantage to 6-0.

Rockridge (15-5, 5-3 TRAC West) plated its only run of the game in the bottom of the sixth.

Emme DeBlaey was the winning pitcher for the Rams, allowing one unearned run on seven hits in seven innings. DeBlaey struck out eight batters in the win.

Tatum Lowe took the loss for Rockridge. She gave up six runs on six hits in seven innings with nine strikeouts.

Riverdale can clinch an outright conference championship with a win against Mercer County next week.
