Rockridge and Sherrard both earned wins in softball on Saturday.
The Rockets (2-0) beat Moline 6-2. Madelyn David hit a two-run home run, and Tatum Lower was the winning pitcher after giving up two runs in 5.1 innings.
The Tigers (1-0) clubbed Knoxville 12-1 in their season opener. Jozlyn Kuffler drove in four runs, and Makensie Westfall earned in the win in the pitcher’s circle by allowing one run over six innings.
