A Rockridge School District music teacher is receiving statewide recognition.
Curtis Fischer-Oelschlaeger, who is the choir director at Rockridge High School and Junior High School, has been selected as the Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Music Educator of the Year and the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Section 4 Music Educator of the Year.
Fischer-Oelschlaeger has taught in the Rockridge School District for 28 years.
