WRMJ spoke with Sherrard High School senior girls basketball player Teagan Nelson for the High School Sports Spotlight on Thursday.
Nelson scored 12 points, including the game-winning free throws to break a 46-46 tie in the final 30 seconds, in Sherrard’s 49-46 win over Mercer County on Monday. She’s the team’s second leading scorer on the season (10.4 points per game).
The Tigers open postseason play with another game against Mercer County on Monday in Port Byron.
