The 2025 MC Art Collective Art Gala brought in more than $15,000 for local artists over the weekend.
The event, which took place Saturday night at the Aledo Opera House, raised $15,110. A portion of the money went directly to the art students who had artwork auctioned off and the rest of the money helps fund trips and scholarships for art students in the Mercer County School District.
Mercer County High School art teacher Tara Guidinger says the third annual gala was the biggest one to date.
The money raised this year set a new record for the event.
