Vonda Fae Scull, 82 of Fort Madison, Iowa, died Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center, West Burlington, Iowa. Visitation will be held 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 21, at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison. Her funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m., with Pastor Nancy St. Clair officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, at the New Boston Cemetery, New Boston, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established and contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel. She was born June 5, 1943, a daughter of George and Beuleh (Banks) Whitlow. She moved her family to the Fort Madison area approximately 58 years ago. She worked for almost 30 years at Sheaffer Pen. She went to cosmetology school, and loved to do nails! She enjoyed working out in her yard and taking long walks. She was a member of Victory Faith Church.
She is survived by her son, Randy (Trina) Scull of Fort Madison; one sister, Wanda Whitmire of Joy, Illinois; four grandchildren, Kiri, Manda, RJ, and Kaleb; numerous great grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, Joe, Jake, and Steph; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband, Lane Scull; three siblings, Stacey Whitlow, Albert Whitlow, and Lorrain Martz; and her brother-in-law, Kenny Whitmire.
