Local State Rep. Swanson’s Annual Lyme Disease Month Resolution Adopted In Illinois House

Local State Rep. Dan Swanson (R-Alpha) saw his annual Lyme Disease Month resolution adopted in the Illinois House this week.

House Resolution 32 urges the federal government to allocate more funding toward finding a cure for Lyme disease and encourages the Illinois State Board of Education to initiate health education programs to prevent tick bites for children, who represent the highest risk group for tick-borne diseases.

May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month in Illinois.
