The Relay For Life of Mercer County is excited to announce the return of live music at this year’s Radiothon, broadcasting live from the WRMJ studios in Downtown Aledo from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., Mon., April 28. This special event will feature inspiring stories from cancer survivors and individuals whose lives have been impacted by the disease. Attendees can enjoy delicious offerings from Spanky’s Meat Wagon, which will be serving food throughout the day and generously donating 20% of its proceeds and all tips collected during the event to support cancer research and patient support services. Additionally, collection boxes will be available in New Windsor and at Rocky’s Sturgeon Bay Inn in New Boston, providing more opportunities for the community to contribute to this vital cause.
Donations raised through Relay For Life events play a crucial role in the fight against cancer. These funds support the American Cancer Society’s mission by financing groundbreaking research to discover new treatments and cures, providing free lodging through Hope Lodge facilities for patients undergoing treatment away from home, offering rides to and from medical appointments via the Road To Recovery program, and delivering educational resources and support to patients and their families. By participating in the Radiothon and contributing to Relay For Life, you directly impact the lives of those affected by cancer in our community.
Tune in to Farm Country 102.3 WRMJ from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., Mon., April 28, to participate in the Radiothon and support those battling cancer in our community. Your involvement and generosity bring hope and assistance to countless individuals and families navigating the challenges of cancer.
