Sherrard (20-3) won its 20th boys basketball game of the season with a 62-49 victory over Bureau Valley (14-9) at Harry Hunt Gymnasium Saturday.
The Tigers trailed once, 3-2, in the first quarter, but led the rest of the game. Sherrard was in front 28-17 at halftime and led by double digits for the entire second half. Sherrard’s largest advantage was 51-31 in the fourth quarter.
Rylan Carton scored 24 points in the win. Carter Brown added 16 and Ryder Veronda finished with 11.
Landon Hulsing paced the Storm with 16 points.
With the win, Sherrard has won 20+ games in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2004-05.
