Saturday, August 17, is a big day in downtown Aledo as the city’s newest downtown business has an official grand opening celebration. Smith’s Custom Meats and General Store will be officially welcomed to downtow17 with the Grand Opening at 2 p.m. Farm Country 102.3 WRMJ will be there broadcasting live and welcoming 0ur new neighbors!
Smith’s Custom Meats and General Store had their “soft opening” earlier this month.
It’s another sign of progress in downtown Aledo as work continues on the Central Park parking lot and Aledo Opera House, and a new aquatic center is planned at the former Farmer’s Grain and Coal site.
