Mercer County (22-6, 8-0 LTC) stormed back to beat Princeville (23-4, 8-1 LTC), 58-57, in overtime Tuesday.
The Golden Eagles trailed 57-53 with under 40 seconds left in the game. Lucas Collison made a three-pointer to cut the deficit to one. Princeville then traveled with 16 seconds on the clock. Jude Hofmann scored on the ensuing possession for Mercer County to take the lead with six seconds remaining.
Collison, 17 points, and Hofmann, 16 points, were each in double figures for the Golden Eagles.
Mercer County has won 13 games in a row.
