A Keithsburg man sentenced to three years in prison for failing to register as a sex offender for a second time. 46-year-old Richard Carle received the punishment Monday in Mercer County Circuit Court after entering a guilty plea to the Class 2 felony in January. Carle was arrested in December of 2021. He was free on bond, but the judge ordered him remanded following the sentencing hearing Monday.
