The Sherrard Tigers and Rockridge Rockets both won 2A regional championships Friday night. Sherrard won the Princeton Regional, defeating Illinois Valley Central 45-28. Rockridge took the crown at the Orion Regional, beating Monmouth-Roseville 56-37.
Both teams advance to the Illinois Valley Central Sectional in Chillicothe. Sherrard will play Normal U-High Tuesday night. Rockridge will take on Canton.
