Some progress for Viola in 2020. Among the new locally owned businesses is The Bean Field Coffee House—located in the former Viola Public Library building. The owners are Kelly and Mike Adamson.
Also opening in Viola in 2020—Bone Collector BBQ & Catering. The village has also cleared a row of dilapidated buildings along Illinois Route 17.
