The long journey of the bear that walked through Mercer County is over. Police in Elsberry, Missouri said on their Facebook page that the bear, known as Bruno, was caught by conservation officers last week. Bruno became a local celebrity after being spotted wandering around Western Illinois. Missouri’s DNR says Bruno has been moved to a less populated area to live out his days.
