MERCO High School Project Will Require Voter Approval

The Mercer County School District will need voter approval before proceeding with improvements at Mercer County High School. Unit 404 Superintendent Tim Farquer says the district was planning to issue bonds for the project, but the process was stopped when community members secured enough signatures on petitions. Farquer spoke with WRMJ Thursday morning.

The board will be discussing the subject next Wednesday with a final decision on the matter by the December meeting.
