Tattoo Parlors Now Allowed In Mercer County, Ordinance Repealed

The Mercer County Board has repealed an ordinance prohibiting tattoo, body art, and body piercing establishments. The Board of Health also supported the action says Mercer County State’s Attorney Grace Simpson.

The ordinance was originally adopted in 2009.
County Board Member Tim Arbet said one of the reasons it needed to be repealed is because a tattoo and body art business is interested in locating in the former Aledo Casey’s building.
