Developers proposing a massive project at the former Aledo Jr. High have fallen short in their latest attempt to secure tax credits from the Illinois Housing Development Authority. Mayor Chris Hagloch was asked about the status of the Northside Lofts development at this week’s city council meeting.
The City of Aledo has committed $250,000 in TIF funds for the proposed $16.4 million Northside Lofts project, which was originally announced in late 2021. The development would include 30 workforce housing units.
