A Keithsburg man faces up to four years in prison when he is sentenced this spring after pleading guilty to failing to register as a sex offender for a second time. 46-year-old Richard Carle entered a guilty plea to the Class 2 felony Tuesday in Mercer County Circuit Court. He will be sentenced April 10. Carle was arrested in December of 2021 and was also facing a Class 4 felony of grooming and Class 3 felony of indecent solicitation. He is free on bond.
