A 45-year prison sentence has been handed down in a Mercer County child sex assault case. 36-year-old Antonio Cortez Williamson was found guilty of three Class X felony counts in an April bench trial. He received a 15-year sentence for each count Monday in Mercer County Circuit Court, to be served consecutively.
The Davenport man was arrested in August of 2019 following an investigation by the New Boston Police Department with assistance from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department.
The case involved one child under the age of 13. Williamson has remained in custody at the Mercer County Jail on $250,000 bond since his August of 2019 arrest.
