The Aledo Park District has awarded the contract for tree removal and dirt work for a new baseball diamond project at Northside Park. Jason Danner’s bid of $14,995 was accepted Sunday night. The park district’s Brian King says Danner will likely begin work within a couple of weeks. The new diamond is being constructed west of the existing big diamond and a portion of the project is being funded by a $30,000 grant from the Looser-Flake Foundation.
King also tells WRMJ that due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Fenton Park pool will not be opening this summer.
