Class X Felony Meth Charge Filed Following Last Week’s Arrest In Matherville

Bond has been set at $150,000 for a Reynolds man taken into custody late last week by Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputies.  They were responding to a suspicious vehicle complaint in Matherville last Friday, which lead to the arrest of 37 year old Cainen Young.  He is now facing five felony charges—a Class X of methamphetamine delivery; Class 1 of possession of meth; Class 4 of aggravated fleeing; and two more Class 4 counts of criminal damage to property.  Young is being held in the Mercer County Jail with a preliminary hearing set for March 20th. He is also facing misdemeanor charges from last Friday’s arrest including possession of drug paraphernalia as well as traffic citations for driving under the influence of drugs and driving on revoked license. Class X felonies are punishable by 6-to-30 years in prison upon conviction.
