Bond has been set at $400,000 for a rural New Boston man arrested on a Class X felony of methamphetamine delivery. 52 year old Lester Ward is also facing a Class 3 felony of felon in possession of a firearm. Ward was taken into custody after Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputies, Quad Cities MEG agents and Illinois State Police executed a search warrant at his residence on Friday. Ward is being held in the Mercer County Jail with a preliminary hearing set for Jan. 14th.
