A $100,000 arrest warrant has been issued for the man described as “Mercer County’s best meth cook”. 23 year old Charles Peacock failed to appear yesterday in Mercer County Circuit Court for a hearing on a petition to revoke his probation. He had been released last week on a $50,000 recognizance bond. Peacock was placed on four years’ probation last May for violating the terms of his probation in a 2015 meth manufacturing case. The Andalusia man was originally placed on three years’ probation for the Class 1 felony in February of 2016, but violated the conditions by visiting the co-defendant in the case and also failing to complete a drug evaluation. Mercer County State’s Attorney Meeghan Lee has indicated she is seeking up to 12-years in prison for Peacock. The co-defendant, 25 year old Erica Sandusky of Matherville is awaiting trial and has a pre-trial conference set for March 20th.
