Brock Bainter was hired as Rockridge High School’s next athletic director at the district’s board of education meeting Monday.
Bainter, a 1999 Macomb High School graduate, has served as the Macomb Junior High School principal the past two years. Before that, he spent 12 seasons as the varsity baseball coach at Macomb. He was an assistant boys basketball coach for 15 years at the school. Bainter also spent the 2011-12 season as the Bombers interim varsity boys basketball coach.
He replaces Daphne Graves, who will become the assistant principal at Rockridge High School next year. She was the Rockridge athletic director for three years.
Bainter begins his role at Rockridge next school year.
