Sherrard opened the 2024 spring sports season with wins in baseball and softball over Fulton at home Tuesday.
In baseball, the Tigers (1-0) beat Fulton (0-2), 13-5.
Sherrard scored multiple runs in every inning except the first. Aiden Switzer led the charge at the plate, going 2-2 with a double and 3 RBI. Cam Davis, Garrett Woodward, and Aidan Terronez also has two hits for the Tigers in the win.
Terronez was the winning pitcher, allowing one earned run in three innings. He struck out five batters in his outing.
In softball, Sherrard (1-0) defeated the Steamers (0-2), 12-2.
The Tigers led 10-0 after three innings. Nadia Anderson went 3-4 and drove in four runs for Sherrard in the win. Savanah Hauger had 3 RBI and earned the win in the circle, allowing two earned runs in four innings.
