Dave Nanninga created the Illinois High School Glory Days website in 2005. The site memorializes over 1,200 closed or defunct schools in Illinois. It was named Best Historical Website of 2022 by the Illinois State Historical Society. In 2023, Nanninga will be inducted into the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame as a Friend of Basketball.
