The Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs will resume an office presence in Mercer County beginning March 17 and then every first and third Thursday thereafter from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Veterans Service officer Steven Birdett will staff the VAC office, located on the second floor of the Mercer County Courthouse.
