A driver and passenger are dead following a motorcycle crash on Knoxville Road near Sherrard. The accident occurred Sunday, according to a Mercer County Sheriff’s Department report. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene while the passenger was pronounced dead at Unity Point Rock Island. The names will be released by the Mercer County Coroner’s office pending notification of family. Sherrard Fire, Advanced Medical Transport, Medforce, Illinois State Police and the Mercer County Coroner’s office all responded to the accident scene.
