An Aledo man’s stipulated bench trial in a criminal sexual assault case has been continued to next month. The delay announced today in Mercer County Circuit Court for 20 year old Gunner Terry. He faces five Class X felonies stemming from alleged incidents involving two children under the age of 13. Terry was arrested last April and remains in custody at the Mercer County Jail on $250,000 bond. His stipulated bench trial is now set for January 9. Class X felonies are punishable by 6-to-30 years in prison upon conviction.
