Casey Switzer says he’s reflective after winning the Republican nomination for Mercer County Sheriff earlier this week.
Switzer, a long-time deputy for the department, defeated Clayton Brendal and Thomas Smith in the Republican primary on Tuesday.
Switzer’s late grandfather, Larry Glancey, served 12 years as sheriff from 1990 to 2002, and his uncle, Bill Glancey, was Mercer County Sheriff for one year.
No Democrats ran for sheriff in the primary election.
