Over $23,000 in reward money was collected to help find the person responsible for the May attack on 83 year old Fred Rooth of rural Joy. Since police work solved the case, Mercer County Sheriff Dave Staley says they now must decide what to do with the reward money.
The man who was arrested for the crime, 56 year old Brian Tully of Burlington, pleaded guilty to home invasion charges last month and was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
