A Sherrard High School graduate is part of the NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament field.
2025 Sherrard grad Aidan Terronez pitches at the University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC). The Flames qualified for the NCAA Tournament by winning the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament over the weekend.
UIC opens play in the NCAA Tournament against No. 2 Georgia Tech in Atlanta on Friday. Terronez says he’s excited for the opportunity.
Terronez has pitched 22.1 innings in his freshman season.
