A new charge has been filed against a Seaton man already awaiting trial in a sex assault case. 49-year-old Mark Hockenberry was served an arrest warrant Tuesday at the Mercer County Courthouse for harassment through electronic communication. He was taken to the Mercer County Jail where he posted bond.
Hockenberry was charged late last year with predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and aggravated criminal sexual abuse in connection with allegations in 2020, 2021 and 2022 involving a female youth. He has pleaded not guilty to those charges.
The Mercer County State’s Attorney’s office has filed a petition to revoke or increase his bond. He returns to court March 13.
