A Seaton man found guilty on a Class 4 criminal sexual abuse count during a one-day bench trial in Mercer County Circuit Court. 69 year old Gary Melton will be sentenced at a later date. Judge Walter Braud handed down the verdict Tuesday afternoon. The charge was in connection with an alleged incident last June. The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department arrested Melton in October following a complaint involving a child. He remains free on $30,000 bond.
