A week after winning a regional championship, the Sherrard High School boys cross country team finished fourth at the 1A Sectional hosted by Sherrard at Saukie Golf Course to advance to the state finals.
David Browning led the Tigers with a 17th-place individual finish.
In the girls’ field, Sherrard’s Anna Churchill, Mercer County’s Emalyn Millar and Brookelyn Clark, and ROWVA-Williamsfield’s Harper Campbell advanced to the state meet.
