Rockridge and Sherrard both picked up wins in softball over Western Big 6 opponents Saturday.
The Rockets (20-3, 7-1 TRAC West) beat United Township (14-7, 7-1 Western Big 6), 6-1. Kendra Lewis (12-3) took the win in the pitchers circle, allowing one run over seven innings on three hits and 11 strikeouts. She also went 2-4 with a home run and four RBI.
Sherrard (17-6, 7-1 TRAC West) defeated Alleman (5-16, 2-9 Western Big 6), 7-3. Nadia Anderson drove in three runs in the win for the Tigers. Danni Neppl (7-3) was the winning pitcher. She gave up three runs on five hits in seven innings, while striking out eight.
Sherrard hosts Rockridge for a doubleheader Saturday. Both teams enter the final week of the regular season tied for first place in the TRAC West.
