The Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office and Rock Island County Coroner are investigating the discovery of a body found in the Mississippi River on Saturday (July 27).
The body was found at approximately 1:30 PM west of the I-280 Bridge near Andalusia. The body is that of an unidentified adult male Caucasian, with a tattoo on his left forearm. The male individual also underwent open reduction internal fixation of his right leg and metal plates and screws were used for stabilization.
