The National Weather Service is reporting that an EF1 tornado hit New Boston on Tuesday.
An EF1 tornado is classified as a moderate tornado with wind speeds between 86-110 miles per hour.
WQAD meteorologist Andrew Stutzke reported winds between 90-100 miles per hour hit New Boston, which saw damage to roofs and trees knocked down around the city.
It’s one of at least eight tornadoes that hit the Quad Cities region when storms rolled through Tuesday night. That includes tornadoes in Rock Island and Warren Counties in Illinois, as well as Lee County in Iowa.
No injuries have been reported as a result of the storm.
