Milan Harvest Festival Kicks Off Thursday

The Milan Harvest Festival kicks off Thrusday.

The event runs Thursday through Monday at Camden Park. The event begins Thursday with carnival rides and continues through Labor Day. Friday brings the music of Superfly Samurai and headliners Dirt Road Rockers, plus evening bingo at the Camden Center.

Saturday’s schedule features the Battle of the Bands, which features eight high school bands, including Rockridge, Sherrard and United. Then, on Saturday night, the first-ever Quad Cities drone show will take place.

Sunday’s lineup includes a trading card show, live music, a cornhole tournament, and recognition of local unions and city administrators. The evening wraps up with the Milan Fireworks Show at 8:15.

Festival organizers Mark Hemphill and Ray Turkmani emphasize that proceeds benefit youth programs across the Quad Cities area.
